Privacy policy
What we ask for when you order, why we ask for it, and what stays on your device alone.
What we ask for when you order
Your name, your mobile number, your district, your location on the map or a link to it, directions if you write them, the delivery time you choose, and your notes. If the order is a gift, the recipient's name and the message for the card, if you write them, and their mobile if you write it. Your email is optional: you give it only if you want the order sent to it.
Why we ask for it
To confirm your order with you, reach you on your mobile by WhatsApp or a call, and deliver the order to your door. If you write your email, we send you the order when it reaches us, then its confirmation, then its invoice after delivery and payment, and the credit note if you return it after receiving it.
If your order is not completed
When you type your mobile number on the order page, we keep your number, your name if you write it, and what is in your basket, so we can contact you on WhatsApp and help if your order is not completed. We delete them after 30 days.
Payment
You pay on delivery: cash, card (mada/POS) or bank transfer, or by card from your order page. To pay by card you go to Al Rajhi Bank's page and type your card details there, not on our site. An order you finish on our Zid store is paid on Zid itself.
How we count visits and improve the site
We count visits to the site ourselves, with no outside service, to learn what helps our visitors and what needs improving: the page, how long you stayed on it and how far down you scrolled, which of its sections were on your screen and for how long, the products that appeared to you, the buttons and links you tap (the button's name only, never anything you type into a field), the site or ad you came from, the type of device, its system and browser, the country and city, and what you do, such as searching and adding to the basket. To recognise a visitor who comes back, your browser keeps a random number that carries neither your name nor your number. When you order from the basket, we link your visits from this device to your order, to understand what helped you order. Your device's network address is never stored; it is turned into a code that changes every day. If your browser asks not to be tracked (Global Privacy Control or Do Not Track), we keep no number for it.
What stays on your device
Your basket and any discount code you enter, your taste in “Picked for you”, your recent searches, your progress in the games, your membership card code, and your order details if you choose to save them: all of them are kept in your browser on your device, and you can clear them by clearing the site's data in your browser settings.
Offers, and your card on this device
Your browser keeps a random number, in its storage and in a small cookie, with no name, number or other personal data in it. With it we record the discount offers we have given this device and when they end, so they stay as you saw them. And when you order, the device you ordered from remembers your membership card, your first name and what you last ordered, to welcome you and show you your orders, points and discounts in “Account”; you can make it forget them from “Account” whenever you like.
Your review photos
If you add photos to your review of a product, we shrink them and remove what a phone writes inside a photo, such as its location, before keeping them. They appear on the product page only once we publish your review, and you can remove them before that from your review page.
“Ask me”
When you ask “Ask me” something, your question is sent to an AI model, which writes the answer from the shop's own information. We keep the text of your question alone, after removing anything that looks like a mobile number, an email or a link, to learn what people ask for so we can offer it. The site does not keep the whole conversation or its answers; it stays in the browser tab you opened it in and is gone when you close it.
We do not sell your details
We do not sell or share your details, and they go only to whoever delivers your order. When you place the pin on the map, its coordinates alone, with no name and no number, go to open map services built on OpenStreetMap to name your district.
