- What does “Mufattal” mean?
- Mufattal describes the shape of the date, not its variety: a date that twisted on itself as it dried, keeping a soft flesh inside a firm skin. Mufattal is the shape we sort our Sukkari by.
- What is the difference between the grades?
- The same variety, the same palms, the same day. The difference is in the shape alone: size, how even the twist is, how uniform the colour is, and how closely the skin holds the flesh. Royal meets all four at their highest, Premium meets them, and Everyday is small and broken dates for cooking. The taste is close across them all.
- Which grade should I choose?
- For guests and the majlis: Premium. For the very best the sorting produces: Royal, available now. For cooking, sweets and juices: Everyday, the lowest priced, available in limited quantity. The grades page shows them side by side so you can compare for yourself.
- Is Royal available?
- Yes, it is available now. Royal is the very best that comes off the sorting table, and its quantity is limited by what passes the standard, not by what we want to sell, which is why it sells out first. Order it on WhatsApp from its page.
- How do I store the dates?
- Somewhere cool and dry, away from the sun, or in the fridge if the weather is hot — so they stay soft for longer. They do not need freezing. If sugar forms grains on the surface, that is the date's own sugar crystallising, not a flaw and not spoilage.
- How much is delivery, and when does it arrive?
- Inside Jeddah it is SAR 30, and free for orders from SAR 299. It reaches you on the day you confirm your order, chilled, from our stores in Jeddah. Outside Jeddah we ship to every city in the Kingdom, the Gulf and the world: you choose the shipping company and see its price and time on our Zid store before you pay.
- How do I order?
- Two ways, and the choice is yours. Add what you want to the basket, then “Continue”: inside Jeddah you mark your home on the map and pay by card now or on delivery, and we confirm with you on WhatsApp. If you have ordered from this device before, “Place order” is in the basket itself, with your saved address, and you can cancel the order from its page within 5 minutes. Outside Jeddah, in the Kingdom, the Gulf or any other country, you finish the order on our Zid store: you give your address, choose the shipping company and pay there. Or tap “Order on WhatsApp” on the product page, or “Send the basket on WhatsApp”, and the chat opens with your order already written in it.
- What if I don't like the dates?
- That is the Golden Guarantee: you pay on delivery, so you open the box in front of our driver and taste. If you don't like them, they come back with us and you pay nothing. For orders inside Jeddah, paid on delivery.
- Are the dates fresh?
- All our dates are from the 1448 harvest, from our farms in Qassim. They reach our stores in Jeddah every day, where we keep them chilled with care, and they reach you on the day you confirm your order.
- Do you prepare orders for companies and events?
- Yes. We prepare quantities for events and organisations, in uniform packing, with one grade and one production date for the whole batch. Message us on WhatsApp with the quantity and the date.
- Where are the dates from?
- From our farms in Qassim. We do not publish farm names or coordinates; we keep to what we can hold ourselves to account for: the region, the grade and the harvest year — all of them stamped on the box.
